6 Months with Sammy

I have heard the phrase several times-"Don't Blink. They will be grown before you know it!" I entirely believe this now. On February 8th, Sammy turned 6 months old. Where has the time gone? Our time goes by so quickly as we spend time with Sammy.

Sammy has gone from a baby to a little man now. I guess he isn't so little though. He is over 19 pounds! One thing hasn't changed-he loves to eat.

Since I haven't had a chance to keep up, I thought it would be nice to do a recap of his first six months. As many of you know, Kris and I are not baby people so we had no idea of when things happen on the timeline of a baby. For those first timers like us, the baby timeline is quick! Sammy can do so much more than we ever thought he would be able to do in six months. He plays like a normal kid on a playmate, he jumps in a jumper, he eats some "real" food (people food), he refuses to roll over even though he can do it, and he is working on sitting up on his own. He has his own full personality as well. It blows my mind.

I do understand why people love babies now though. I have loved mostly every minute with Sammy (the long nights and screaming is not fun). It is hard being parents though. Having time to yourself and actually remembering things is rare now. I wouldn't trade it though.

Sammy is growing into such a cool person. He has a very strong personality and wants to be heard. He is observant like his daddy and talkative like his mommy. I'm pretty sure he got some of his stubbornness from both of us though. He loves meeting new people, watching dogs especially Sierra (his bigger sister), he loves to have all the attention on him, he enjoys every type of music (so far), he watches to see how things work, he kicks as often and hard as possible, and he loves funny sounds and kisses.

Here are some pictures from Sammy's first 6 months:
