Prepping for Baby Cunigan with Gma Nix!

The past few days my mom has been in town to prep for Baby Cunigan. We have had a good time shopping and walking to get plenty of exercise!

On Friday, we went maternity clothes shopping! It was the first time shopping for maternity clothes. We knew Motherhood Maternity would be expensive but it was so worth the visit. I even got to try on a baby bump (No pictures though because I looked ridiculous-hoping the real baby bump is better!). Here are a few pictures of our journey:

Today, Saturday, our mission was to set up two more registries. We started at Ikea. We really like the furniture and flexibility we would have with Ikea furniture but we found out that they do not do baby registries. We were a little bummed so we may ask for a few gift cards :) My mom, Kris, and I all had a good time and of course ate some meatballs.

We decided to end the day at Babies R Us. I never knew there could be so much baby stuff! I would highly recommend Babies R Us. They were so helpful and we definitely had a good time looking through baby stuff. We only made it through half the store but we will be back! For any moms out there, please let me know what you found helpful when registering. There are so many products to choose from. I would love opinions on the best purchases :)

We ended today with pizza! The best way to end a day! (Pizza is my crazy craving lately if you didn't know. Pizza hut pizza is my favorite currently!)

More adventures to come!

Starting the Registry

Today, we decided it would be fun to start our Baby Registry. The first place we chose was Target. I would highly suggest registering at Target. It was such a simple process and they gave us free baby samples! We were so taken back at the thoughtfulness.

Starting our registry was challenging though. We thought we had an idea of everything we needed and then we looked through all the baby stuff. We tried to keep it neutral for now and put stuff that we thought we would need. It was overwhelming but it was nice to start.

Kris and I wanted to continue the fun so we thought we would check out Kohl's. We didn't know if we would use the registry but noticed that a lot of people online suggested Kohl's. The Kohl's experience was much worse than the Target experience. Target made it enjoyable. At Kohl's, the scanner didn't work and there was not a great selection for newborns. We were a little surprised. Our suggestion-stick to Target.

Here are the pictures from our experience:

We're Pregnant!

Well I can officially say we are having a baby! We both knew 2016 would be a great year but it is even better knowing that our family is growing.

The point of this blog is to share our experience along the way with many pictures for family and friends. Enjoy!
