Here is what I did this week to stay busy:
Sunday, July 3rd
Kris and I were very lazy today. I was super tired even though I slept in so I decided to spend most of the day on the couch watching tv. Kris joined me and binge watched, "Orange is the New Black". It was nice to spend time together doing nothing in particular. Kris was able to grocery shop for us and I attempted to make dinner. (I am slowly trying to learn how to cook so I can be a "good" mom.) I need a lot of practice.
Trying to plan out meals
Sierra chose to be lazy with us too
Monday, July 4th
Fourth of July! Today didn't really feel like a holiday but it was nice to be off work and to have Kris home with me. Usually on the fourth, we are traveling but this year we just got to relax. I still had to go into the doctor for my stress test but Kris got to go with me. I told him it was good practice to make sure he knows how to get to the hospital. My blood pressure was a little high but came down after 20-30 minutes. Since we had to go to the hospital anyways, we preregistered for our delivery. Things are slowly getting real!
For most of the afternoon, I slept. I was so tired and just wanted to enjoy any sleep I could get. (Sleeping at night is not as ideal for some reason. I sleep better in the afternoon lately.)
Since we couldn't go to the fireworks, Kris and his friend, Taylor brought the fireworks to our house. We grilled out and set off fireworks all night. I mostly just watched and played with sparklers. It was crazy because several of our neighbors decided to set off fireworks on their own this year so we had a full display of fireworks. I found out that baby either loves or hates fireworks. He was going crazy the whole time. Sierra didn't mind the fireworks until she saw us shooting them off so she hid under the bed.
It was nice to be outside and enjoy the holiday even though it was sticky.

Tuesday, July 5th
Today is Kris and I's 8th dateversary. It is crazy how time flys by! We didn't celebrate since I was on bedrest and there wasn't much we could do (we will make it up later).
It was nice because I had a decent amount of energy for the full day. Energy seems to be rare and far between lately. I even broke my bedrest because I had to get something to help acid reflux. (When everyone you know is working during the day, sometimes you have to do what you have to do.) I felt much better once I could take something for my acid reflux.
After working a full day, I wanted to do something different so I decided to project. I have wanted to paint a wood sign I have been saving for awhile. I decided to go for it. On the sign, I put the day Kris and I met, the day we started dating, and the day we got married. I found out that I should not be an artist but it was fun to do something different.
I attempted dinner again and Kris helped me so then it would be edible. I hope to at least cook basic things for our kid!
Wednesday, July 6th
Today I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I was super grouchy and felt like the world was against me. I thought I would be lucky just to make it through the day especially since I didn't feel good as well. My hormones seem to be hit or miss from day to day.
My day quickly turned around because I was promoted at work! I thought there was no way I could be promoted especially since I am stuck on bedrest. I was so excited! Then I had company after work! My friend, Saren came over to tell me all about her engagement story! I love baby and talking about baby but it is nice to hear about things going on in other people's lives! She kept me company most of the night.
To top off the night, Kris and I ordered pizza for dinner. He ordered me my own pepperoni lovers pizza so then I could have left overs! Nothing satisfies my cravings like pizza does!
To end the night, I contact an old friend from Milligan to ask about breastfeeding. My goal is to try to breastfeed Baby Cunigan for at least 3-6 months. I have been reading over blogs and hearing other people's stories but I needed to figure out how I could be successful. I quickly learned that breastfeeding and planning for it can be very overwhelming. My first step is determination that I am going to commit to it for at least 3-6 months. I am there so now I have to prep!
Sierra wasn't feeling it at first today either!
Thursday, July 7th
33 Weeks today! It is crazy how fast time goes when it nears the end of your pregnancy. I had my stress test to start out the day. My blood pressure was a little high at 132/80 but good for me lately! The nurse was happy. I did have to stay a little longer because baby didn't want to move too much today. By the end, he was moving so much his heart rate got up to 196! (It is good for a baby's heart rate to fluctuate. Similar to when we do exercise.)
I ended my appointment by scheduling everything through my due date. They said it was better to schedule everything and have it and cancel as needed. I then found out my doctor is going on vacation the first 2 weeks of August so Baby Cunigan has to wait until at least August 15th to come. (Say a little prayer!) I love my doctor so I really hope she can deliver me.
The rest of the day was normal with work and relaxation at home. Around 10 PM though, Sierra decided to pull her lead and run away. I got so worried so instead of staying put, I ran after her. Actually it was more like a fast walk. I knew I couldn't handle something happening to her. Kris took the harder route through the grass and I took the sidewalk. Luckily, she heard me call her name and came straight to me. Usually if she gets out she plays chase for awhile until she allows you to catch her. I ended up finding her near the sprinklers. She must have been hot!
Kris was so nervous after I helped look for her. He made me promise I was not going to have the baby tonight. I had to cool down and lay on the couch awhile to recover. I had more exercise tonight than I did in 3 weeks!
Crazy family photo before Sierra ran away (I hope she didn't run because we made her take pictures)
I stopped and got a burger after my appointment. Very yummy!
Friday, July 8th
Today, I was super tired but it didn't matter because my mom was coming! I was so excited. I still had to work a full day and "tried" to clean up a little bit before she got her. I did learn that my balance is continuing to decline. I accidentally slipped down the stairs. I caught my self but I think I sprain my ankle (the bad one) again. My poor left leg can't get a break!
As I was preparing for my mom to arrive, I overdid it. I wanted to make sure some of our house was clean so I straightened and cleaned the bathrooms. I was so worn out! I think I will definitely have to hire a cleaning company before baby arrives. Also, I had a friend stop by to drop off my Thirty-One order. Instead of sitting, I stood to talk to her and showed her baby's room. I could tell my feet did not like it.
After work, my mom arrived! We didn't do too much. We eased our way into everything by starting to clean off my work desk and a few things in the living room. We talked about the plans for the weekend so we could make the most of her visit. We ended the evening by going out to eat and getting a few food items including ice cream!
Saturday, July 9th
Today, we hit my To-Do list hard! My poor mom worked from 9 AM -2 AM the next morning. We started with errands that I haven't been able to do. I got my oil changed and my car cleaned out.
After a few errands, our goal was to work on the full downstairs. I directed and tried to help as much as I could. We went through everything in the living room and the kitchen. We decluttered and organized to make sure everything had a place. It felt so good! We even found a way to fit a recliner in our living room if we choose to get one.
Around dinner time, we took a break and ran to Sam's club to stock up on paper items and Target to get a few things to help organize. I was only allowed to go because they had electric carts that I could ride around in. It was nice to be out and about!
We spent the rest of the night finishing up the first floor. I was completely exhausted so I knew my mom had to be since she was doing all the work!
Me directing from the couch
Rearranging and organizing
Clean living room
Riding the cart at Target-I only ran into one person and two corners!
Sierra was even tired!
It felt so good to get a few things off my To-do list and enjoy getting out a few times this week. This upcoming week, I will probably have to take things easy to make sure I don't overdo it!
